Vacationing Solo? 12 Things Not to Do If You’re Leaving Your Guy Behind (2 of 7)

2. Don’t Ignore His Texts
If he’s taking a moment to send you a simple “How’s your day going?”—don’t leave him hanging. It might seem small, but that check-in is his way of staying connected, of reminding you that he’s thinking about you even when you’re apart. Leaving him on read, especially without any follow-up, can unintentionally send the message that you’re uninterested or emotionally checked out.
Even if you’re genuinely busy, in a different time zone, or just caught up in your own rhythm, it only takes a few seconds to send a quick reply. A simple “Hey! All good here, just running around. Miss you” can go a long way in keeping that emotional thread intact. Relationships don’t need constant communication to be strong—but they do need consistency and consideration.

3. Don’t Post Every Party Photo
Sharing a few fun vacation pics? Totally cool. But if your feed turns into a constant stream of party shots and boomerangs of cocktails, it can come off like you’re living it up without a thought for your partner. Even if it’s all innocent fun, it might stir up jealousy or make them feel left out. Before posting that third drink or dance-floor snap, ask yourself—would this make them feel secure or second-guessing? A little awareness goes a long way.
