2. Write Down Your Accomplishments and Put Them in a Jar

When we have high expectations for ourselves, it is easy to feel discouraged and get upset when things don’t go our way. But how are we going to ever achieve anything in life if our mind is constantly full of negative thoughts? It is possible to change our mindset using one neat trick: before going to bed, take slips of paper, write down three small achievements for the day and put them in a jar. By day 30, you’ll definitely need a second jar! When you’ve had a particularly difficult day, refer to these notes as a reminder to keep your head up.

3. Do At Least One Act of Kindness Everyday

Don’t let a single day end without doing something nice for others. It doesn’t even have to be anything earth-shattering. Let a coworker know they’re doing an impressive job, give your barista a generous tip, or call up a friend you haven’t reached out to in a while and reminisce. The most wonderful thing you’ll discover is that when we do something nice for others, we feel just as good as they do!
