Bianca stormed over. “What is happening?”

Hannah turned. “I just came to return something Brandon forgot. A piece of his past he tried to erase.”

Bianca’s jaw tightened. “Is this a joke?”

“I wish it were,” Hannah said gently. “But no—this is Lily. And she’s his daughter.”

Bianca didn’t speak again. She just turned and walked away.

Brandon stood frozen.
