When up-and-coming rapper Kaya Blaze ordered a Lyft after a long night at the studio, she never imagined the ride would end in a lawsuit—or that she’d be publicly humiliated before she even opened the car door.

The 27-year-old artist, known for her fiery verses and fearless attitude, says she was left standing alone in the cold after a Lyft driver refused to pick her up outside Black Mirror Studios—allegedly because of her size and appearance.

And she has the receipts to prove it.

“I was in shorts, hair laid, nails fresh. I looked good. Comfortable, confident, like always,” Kaya recalled. “Then I see the car slow down, the driver looks at me through the window… and just keeps going.”
