Unless youre planning to pay upfront in cash, its a near certainty that youre buying as is home with financing. During the appraisal process, the lender will need to determine if the home meets property standards. This is where things could potentially get tricky. If the lender determines that certain repairs must be completed before approving the loan, you will need to collaborate closely with them to comprehend these requirements, and you may have to cover the cost of these renovations yourself.
