8 Famous Internet Pets You Didn’t Realize Had Passed Away (4 of 5)

6. Noodle the Pug

Noodle rose to TikTok fame with the “Bones or No Bones” game, where his owner would sit him up each morning to see if he’d stand (Bones Day) or flop back down (No Bones Day). The outcome became a daily mood forecast for millions. Noodle passed away at 14.5 years old in 2022. His fans mourned the loss of the internet’s chillest pug, who reminded us that it’s OK to take a day off sometimes. It was a heck of a run.

7. Lil Bub

Lil Bub wasn’t your average cat. With her tiny frame, bulging eyes, and tongue that permanently stuck out, she melted hearts across the internet. Born with several genetic conditions, including dwarfism and a rare bone disorder, Bub defied the odds. Her odd look made her a social media star with 2.4 million Instagram followers, TV appearances, and even a book that she wrote herself (no, not really). Sadly, on December 1, 2019, Bub passed away in her sleep at age eight from complications due to a bone infection. Her owner, Mike Bridavsky, said it best: “She changed my life, and the lives of thousands of homeless pets.”
