4. Regina and Robin—Once Upon a Time
Regina’s redemption was one of the most powerful story arcs in the entire series, and her love story with Robin Hood was key to this. He was willing to look beyond her past, and she couldn’t imagine herself with anybody else. They seemingly defied fate just to be together, but it proved not to be enough. Robin’s death served as a cautionary reminder that not all fairy tales end happily ever after.

5. Robin and Barney—How I Met Your Mother
On the surface, Robin and Barney didn’t appear to be an obvious match, and yet their chemistry, banter, and shared cynicism made them a surprisingly perfect fit. They did such a good job of challenging each other and evolving together.
